Maika Rivera breaks her silence on being the alleged third party in Aljur Abrenica-Kylie Padilla breakup
The controversial split-up of Aljur Abrenica and Kylie Padilla came along with a confirmation that there was a third party and speculations surfaced that it was Maika Rivera.
Aljur and Maika worked together in the series Sandugo before the pandemic. The latter’s name surfaced as the alleged reason why the actor’s relationship with Kylie ended.
Previously, rumors surfaced that the third party in the Aljur-Kylie breakup was a Kapamilya actress with a love child. The name of Cindy Miranda, the co-star of Aljur Abrenica in the movie Nerisa, is the alleged third party but she already clarified this issue.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, he showed a short video of Maika Rivera answering the third party issue. The actress denied the allegation.
She said that she and Aljur have no romantic relationship and they are not talking and seeing each other aside from the time they were shooting for the series. Maika also said that she did not know where the allegation came from but the only possible reason for this was her comments on the Instagram posts of Aljur.
“Hindi po talaga ako,” Maika said as she denied the allegations against her. She said that she would do anything that would cause a relationship to end.
The actress added that she has huge respect for Kylie. Maika Rivera also revealed the reason why she deleted all her comments on the posts of Aljur Abrenica.
“Kaya ko dinelete ang mga comments sa pictures hindi po dahil guilty ako, dahil po, as I’ve mention, may sarili din po akong pinagdadaanan, mabigat sa akin personal sa aking buhay,” she explained. Maika added that she just wants positivity in her life and deleting her comments is for her own sake.
