Female Scammer Arrested for Escaping After P8.5k Digital Wallet Cash-in from Store

Authorities arrested a female scammer after she allegedly fled from a store when the P8,500 digital wallet money successfully cash-in.

After cashing in a P8,500 digital wallet in Tondo, Manila, a woman dashed into a store. According to a GMA News report, the store was manned by the owner’s son when the incident occurred last month.

She was rushing the boy to transmit the money, according to Apple, which is her method of perplexing the vendor. She isn’t wearing a mask, and her son claims that is why he trusts the lady since she is attractive.

The twenty-year-old suspect, on the other hand, was apprehended after committing the identical crime at another establishment in Tondo. Police Lieutenant Rowell Robles, commander of the Don Bosco police station, claimed she has already admitted the crime.

Robles stated that she was merely crying before revealing that she had a child and that she had lost her job. The remaining five victims who had been missing since 2019 were discovered when she was apprehended. The culprit reached a P35,000 settlement with his victims.

She also had to pay for her jewelry and cellphone in addition to the money. According to Robles, the suspect’s victims can report the crime to the police station where it occurred.
