Netizens reacted to this recent strong statement of Nadine Lustre
Actress-singer Nadine Lustre said that celebrities like her have no obligation to greet other people in public places.
It is an ordinary scenario that ordinary people would call the names of celebrities when they are spotted in public places, some would even ask for a photo or an autograph. This has been a custom for many culture in the world.

However, for Nadine, this could not be the same case. She said in an interview by Edward Barber that she is not the type of a person who would say “hi” to anyone. “Because I don’t know you,” she reasoned out.
“I never have the feeling of responsibility when it comes to saying “hi” to everyone. I do know that there are people like that but it was never my thing because to me, it was weird,” Nadine Lustre added.
Then, she shared one instance when she was passing a store in a mall and she heard a person saying, “suplada naman.” The actress-singer said that she did not need to say “hi” because she did not know that person. She stressed that the person was just expecting her to say “hi” first. Nadine said that she will not go out of her way to do the greeting first.
“People forget that we are people also. It is not our responsibility to acknowledge everyone, to please everyone,” she said. Nadine Lustre also said that their responsibility is to give entertainment.
With this, the actress-singer received bashing. Here are some of the comments that were posted by netizens on the popular showbiz news site.
