James Yap went to PNoy’s burial
Basketball star James Yap, the ex-husband of Kris Aquino, attended the burial of former President Noynoy Aquino.
On June 25, a day after the death of the former Chief Executive, James and his partner expressed sincere messages. The PBA player thank PNoy for showing him kindness while Michela Cazzola wrote a message expressing sympathy to Kris Aquino.
On Saturday, James was one of the popular personalities who attended the burial. The interment mass was held at the Church of Gesu sa Ateneo de Manila University, based on the article in PEP.
Reportedly, James Yap arrived at the venue a few moments after the mass started. However, he did not go near Kris Aquino and his son Bimby. He was standing at the back together with businessman Ramon S. Ang of San Miguel Corporation.
It was said that some reporters approached James for an interview, however, he refused. After the mass, he also left. Entertainment columnist Gorgy Rula sent a message to the basketball star asking if Kris and her family had an idea that he was there but James did not answer this.
On the other hand, it was that James Yap joined the convoy of people who attended the burial. After the mass, the remains of the former president was brought to Manila Memorial Park.
The streets were filled with people who have been supporting PNoy. There were Laban signs, their political party, and yellow flags and ribbons. Meanwhile, Kris Aquino was spotted talking at the wake to actor-politician Herbert Bautista, who was linked to her.
