2 Female Police Officers Who Helped Woman Give Birth Earned Praise in Capiz
The Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Guillermo Eleazar praises two (2) female police officers after they help a woman successfully give birth in Capiz.
The PNP chief, Gen. Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar, praised two Capiz policewomen who assisted in the delivery of a woman in Dumalag town. He was referring to Dumalag Municipal Police Station employees Police Corporal Mary Joy Fusin, a certified nurse, and Police Staff Sergeant Maybelle Legario.
They allegedly assisted Tirisa Bindol, a town native, in giving birth. Eleazar praises the two for not hesitating to assist the pregnant woman in giving birth while on their way to the hospital.
“I salute our two police officers who did not think twice in helping the Bindol couple. We have plenty of police officers who are always ready to help in times of need, ”said Eleazar.
“Despite all the challenges that we face in the organization, there are still plenty in our ranks who are ready to show kindness and dedication to service,” he added.

Bindol and her husband were on their way to the Dao District Hospital to deliver their baby when the expecting mother began to experience intense labor pains, suggesting that she was on the verge of giving birth. Her spouse sought help from police personnel at the Dumalag Municipal Police Station right away.
When Fusin and Legario saw the distressed couple, they rushed in to assist in the delivery of Bindol’s kid. The baby was taken to the Dumalag Health Center right after he was born.
Eleazar promised that the two police officers will be given proper credit. He also urged other police officers to emulate Fusin and Legario’s acts of kindness and real public service.
