Over 150 Hospital Staff in Houston Who Refused to Get Vaccinated Lost Job

Hospital in Houston sacked over 150 staff from their post after they allegedly refused  to get vaccinated against COVID-19.

At the Houston-area hospital, more than 150 employees were dismissed or resigned. This is due to their failure to comply with the COVID-19 immunization requirement.

Gale Smith, a representative for Houston Methodist Hospital, said that they have been advised to be vaccinated since June 7 and that if they refuse, they will be suspended for two weeks. Approximately 200 hospital personnel were suspended, with 153 being fired or resigning.

Employees who have been vaccinated while on suspension will be permitted to return to work, according to Smith. A total of 24,947 staff complied and were properly immunized, according to a statement released by Houston Methodist on June 9.

Many employees launched a protest action last month in response to the adoption of forced vaccination. 117 Houston Methodist employees were fired as a result of the incident.

The lawsuit requested that a federal court order the hospital organization to refrain from retaliating against the employees. A federal judge, however, dismissed the claim as baseless.
