Security Guard Suffers Gunshot Wounds after Shot by Patient in Jose Reyes Hospital
A security guard from Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Manila suffered gunshot wounds after allegedly shot by a patient.
At the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center in Manila, a guard was shot by a patient while on duty. The victim, identified as Arturo Budlong, a security guard at the hospital, is still being monitored and treated, according to P/LtCol John Guiagui, chief of MPD Station 3.

Budlong reprimanded the patient and suspect named Mark Anthony Galivo because he went in and out of his room last night, according to the report. The suspect was allegedly annoyed by the guard’s admonition, added by the report.
Budlong’s loaded gun was taken by the suspicious patient, who shot him in the chest a few moments later. The hospital promptly contacted police, who dispatched operatives to apprehend the suspect.
When the authorities arrived, however, the suspect allegedly fought back, resulting in a gunfight. Two bullet wounds were recorded on the suspect’s body after the gunfight.
Both the victim and the suspect are currently being treated in the hospital’s emergency room for gunshot wounds to their bodies. Further information is still being sought by the authorities.
