Karen Davila brought up her controversial interview with Manny Pacquiao
Broadcast journalist Karen Davila featured in her recent vlog the reaction of Senator Manny Pacquiao to the bashing she received after the “college degree” interview.
To recall, back in 2019, Karen interviewed the Senator on her Headstart program on ABS-CBN News Channel. Karen received bashing as the supporters of the boxer-turned-politician did not like how she conducted the interview. For them, the journalist sounded rude.
In a recent YouTube video of Karen, she showcased the luxurious house of Manny. The Senator shared a few details of the different parts of his house and his children shared their thoughts about him as a father.
In one portion of the vlog, Manny cooked for Karen and they shared a meal together while talking about the said controversial video. “Habang nandito na tayo, sagutin na natin ang tinatanong ng mga netizens. Juskolord ha. Ang tindi ng bashing na natanggap ko du’n sa college degree issue na ‘yun ha,” Karen Davila said.
Then, Manny Pacquiao said, “Sobra naman ‘yun.” With this, the broadcast journalist stressed, “Oh sobra ‘yun ha? Narinig niyo?” After this, the lawmaker shared that he already finished his college degree.
Currently, he is taking up a master’s degree in Public Administration at the Philippine Christian University (PCU). When asked why pursued his studies, Manny said that he believes in “just keep learning”. He added that as long as a person is living on earth, there is a lot of things to be learned.
Previously, the boxing champ has said in an interview that he did not feel offended by the way that the journalist questioned him about his educational attainment.
