Pageantry in the Philippines is as colorful as it can be in the whole world. The lives of the beauty queens and the aspirants can also be vibrant as ever for their journey towards the crown.
Empire PH would like to share a glimpse of this world that is not as accessible as what can be seen on the pageant stage. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the creative agency will launch a new series, Becoming Phenomenal, showcasing the journey of the winners in the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 pageant.
This will show the challenges that the candidates had to face due to the pandemic and how the pageant was pushed through under the new normal setup. The series is also expected to highlight the triumph of the queens amid the struggles.
Pageant fans will also see the pageant journey and the advocacy of Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo (Ambassador for Education), and her court: Bella Ysmael (1st Runner Up, Ambassador for Arts and Culture), Michele Gumabao (2nd Runner Up, Ambassador for Fitness and Health), Pauline Amelinckx (3rd Runner Up, Ambassador for Tourism), and Billie Hakenson (4th Runner Up, Ambassador for Gender Equality).
The three-part series is set to be launched on June 12 at 6 p.m. All the three episodes will aired on the same date. This will take place before the Miss Universe 2021 officially kicks off.
