Man Beaten by Group of Men, Stabbed While Collecting Pigeon Race Win Bet

Closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage caught a man being beaten by group of men and allegedly stabbed death while collecting winning bet.

After being beaten and stabbed by a group of guys participating in a pigeon race, a man who went to another barangay for a pigeon race was unable to return home alive. Kenneth Pagulayan, 30, was stabbed to death in front of a crowd of people in Barangay 767 in San Andres Bukid, Manila, according to CCTV evidence.

Pagulayan managed to flee, but he fell, and the assailants apprehended him and stabbed him four times in the back. According to the investigation conducted by the Manila Police District, the crime appeared to be motivated by a desire to profit from the pigeon’s career.

According to Police Captain Henry Navarro, chief of the MPD’s Homicide Section, the victim won the bet, but he was not reimbursed for the gamble they agreed on. Kenneth was instructed by one of the suspects who had also lost the wager that if he wanted to collect his winnings, he should go to the suspects’ house.

After allegedly charging the suspects P1,000, the victim allegedly moved to their location in another barangay. Authorities inspected the victim’s smartphone for evidence of the victim’s conversation with the accused.

The killers are still on the loose, and the knife used to murder the victim has yet to be discovered. The identification of the perpetrators, aged 20 to 30, has been determined by the police.

Despite the fact that the crime was committed in front of a large crowd, no witnesses were willing to submit a statement, maybe due to fear of the criminals. The offenders are known to be reprimanded in their region, according to the barangay.

The suspect in the video, who is seen wielding a knife, is also on a narcotics watch list. According to the report, the victim’s family refused to offer a statement.
