11-year-old Boy Hides Being Bitten by a Dog Eventually Dies of Rabies

A young boy aged 11, unfortunately, dies from the rabies virus after he allegedly hides that he was bitten by an unvaccinated dog in their area.

In Marilao, Bulacan, an 11-year-old boy died of rabies. The victim allegedly kept the fact that he had been bitten by a dog hidden from his parents.

Poul Amber Bantillo, according to the report, was the victim. According to the boy’s father, they were not informed that his son had been bitten by an unvaccinated dog only a week before.

Poul’s family realized he was vomiting, couldn’t eat, and wouldn’t drink water a few days before he died. He was also worried, according to his family, and his jaw was afterwards locked or clenched.

However, when the youngster was questioned, he continued to deny that he had been bitten by a dog. When they took the victim to the hospital, their suspicions were confirmed.

The toddler was already running amok as soon as the ambulance arrived. Poul had rabies, and the physicians suspected it right away. Poul was cuffed when he arrived at the hospital because he was already raging, and he died an hour later.

Poul’s family is still looking for the owner of the dog that bit him. Every year, more than 200 individuals die in the Philippines from rabies, according to the Department of Health.
