Here’s what Pia Wurtzbach said about Rabiya Mateo and Andrea Meza
Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach has spoken about Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo and crowned Miss Universe 2020 Andrea Meza after the 69th edition of the pageant.
Pia has been vocal about her support to the delegate of the Philippines even before the competition started. Rabiya even revealed that the third Pinay Miss Universe was so gracious to let her borrow the lucky earrings that she used during the pageant in 2015.
During the competition, Pia used her social media platforms to show support for the Ilongga beauty queen. Based on the article in by entertainment columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal, Pia could be called as the official cheerleader of Rabiya.
After the Miss Universe stint of the beauty queen from Iloilo City, Pia Wurtzbach is looking forward to the bright future ahead.
“Just like the color (yellow) of her gown in the Miss Universe pageant. Rabiya’s future will shine brighter than the sunshine. I just know it. A lot of opportunities will fall on her lap,” she said.
After the pageant, Rabiya expressed in an interview that she wants to pursue a career in acting. She even shared that she wants to try the horror genre, as for her, this could be a challenging project.
Meanwhile, for Andrea Meza, the newly-crowned Miss Universe, Pia shared her advice. “Back up your files, girl. Invest in a good camera. I lost many of my Miss U photos because I didn’t have enough backup. We cannot relive moments, but we can recapture the joy through photo memories,” she said to the Mexican beauty queen.
