Is it true that Rabiya Mateo was offered to do a stint for Victoria’s Secret?
Rumor has it that Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo was invited by luxury fashion brand Victoria’s Secret to be one of its angels.
To recall, during the national costume competition in the 69th edition of Miss Universe, Rabiya wore a costume inspired by the Philippine flag.
One thing that was noticeable was the big wings of the costume. This brought out comments from pageant fans that she looked like one of the angels of the luxe brand when she was walking on the stage.
Videos surfaced showing that before she went on stage, Rabiya indeed said that she felt like she was a Victoria’s Secret with her costume.
In line with this, rumors surfaced that the famous fashion brand invited Rabiya Mateo to represent their product, based on the article in The Philippine Star. It has been a trademark of Victoria’s Secret to call its models “angels”.
The fashion shows being held by VS always feature models wearing extravagant wings. Rumors also stated that the beauty queen from Iloilo City already signed a contract with the fashion brand. However, as of this writing, no confirmation yet has been released from the camp of Rabiya regarding this matter.
Meanwhile, the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles, California honored Rabiya Mateo as she represented the Philippines in the recent 69th Miss Universe Pageant held in Florida, last May 16, 2021.
The Pinay beauty queen looked so stunning during the event wearing her purple printed dress by Oliver Tolentino.
