The suspected shabu was packaged in Chinese tea bags, identical to the packaging of the drug recovered in the previous operation in Mandaluyong City, according to reports. According to the operation’s team leader, this is where the previous operation’s supply of illicit drugs by minors came from.

The ten people detained will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. Meanwhile, authorities in Mandaluyong confiscated P40.8 million in shabu from three minors during a buy-bust operation.

During a PDEA and Eastern Police District activity, the arrested minors, ages 15, 16, and 17, allegedly from Trece Martires, Cavite, were detained at a gas station on Sierra Madre Street in Barangay Highway Hills. The minors were found with six kilos of suspected drugs. The Department of Social Welfare and Development will be in charge of the minors (DSWD).
