The past issue between Ruffa Gutierrez and her ex-husband was recalled
The Miss Universe 2020 pageant made fans recall the past issue between actress-beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez and her ex-husband Yilmaz Bektas who was linked to Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera.
Pageant fans in the Philippines are indeed very passionate when it comes to supporting the representative of the country. It is already a common scenario that beauty parlors and many households take a momentary pause to watch the pageant finals.
For the 69th edition of Miss Universe, Ilongga beauty queen Rabiya Mateo was chosen to be the country’s delegate and once again Pinoy pageant fans joined forces to show support for her.
However, an issue involving the name of Ruffa Gutierrez surfaced as the Philippines’ bet did not make it to the Top 10. Some netizens shared their speculations that it is because one of the judges was Zuleyka Rivera.
Based on the article by entertainment columnist Jun Lalin in Abante, there were Pinoy pageant fans who claimed that the loss of Rabiya was due to the grudge of Zuleyka against Ruffa. Here are some of the comments from netizens.
“Judge si Zuleyka Rivera guys di ba ang chicka galit ‘yan sa mga Asians tapos dati naokray siya kay Ruffa Gutierrez kasi pinangalanan niyang Zuleyka ‘yung aso niya nung nalaman niya na may something sila ni Ylmaz??? Hahahahahaha bye.”
“Binabaan daw kasi ni Zuleyka Rivera ang score ni Rabiya para makaganti kay Ruffa Gutierrez Remember, yung dating asawa ni Ruffa na si Yilmaz Bektas naging jowa ni Zuleyka Kaya super warla sila!”
When Ruffa Gutierrez was asked about Rabiya Mateo’s performance, the former said that the Miss Universe Philippines 2020 should not feel bad that she only reached the Top 21.
“She represented the country in the best way possible. So, thank you. Thank you for that,” Ruffa said. When it comes to the issue between her, Yilmaz, and Zuleyka, the daughter of Annabelle Rama and Eddie Gutierrez said this the speculations from netizens made her laugh.
“Pati yung past binuhay na naman nag iba. Definitely wala akong kinalaman diyan,” Ruffa Gutierrez stressed.
