After it was discovered that the resort’s service continues amid the current MECQ, Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan ordered its immediate closure. Malapitan has also charged the resort’s management, officials from the 171 barangays under its control, and anyone who swam at the resort with breaking IATF and health protocol laws.

The mayor also ordered the resort’s business permit to be revoked, as well as an investigation into how the resort was able to function under the current MECQ, in order to prevent it from happening again. All visitors to the resort will be subjected to extensive touch tracing, close surveillance, and adequate and timely RT-PCR checking.
