The lockdown has required barbershops, salons, and spas to close which made the actor come up with a decision to let go his business and his employees. He and his business partners decided to close it down permanently way back in October 2020.

And for the actor, it was the part of letting go of his people that came out as the hardest. He shared, “It was one of the most heartbreaking experiences para sa akin ah, as a business owner. Because I had big plans for the barbershop.”

The hardest part is telling them they are closing down and giving them their last salary. And to help them amid the pandemic, he decided to give them barbering equipment for their restart and to do something they can earn from such as giving home services. However, he remained hopeful for his business.

He also added as per PEP, “But it was sad to say goodbye to my tambayan. It was the one place where I can go on a Sunday and, you know, have a drink, have a haircut, relax. Now, I cut my own hair, yeah.”

Talas Manileño was located at Cubao Expo, Quezon City and a branch in Balintawak, Quezon City. They opened in 2015.
