VP Leni Robredo Pleads to Report Altered Photo With Laila De Lima in Jail
The official Facebook page of Vice President Leni Robredo pleads to report the fake altered photo of her painting outside the jail of Laila De Lima.
According to a fact-check post on Facebook by Verafiles, VP Leni was once again attacked with fake news. Robredo asked her Facebook followers to report an altered picture of a house under the Angat Buhay project in Lupi, Camarines Sur, in a Facebook post.
“Fake News Alert!! Altered picture was posted on VOVph Facebook page. Please help us report,” she wrote in her Facebook post.
The VOVph Facebook page posted an edited photo of her outside De Lima’s prison, where she appears to be painting the jail’s wall while the convicted is waving her hands out the window. The photo also shows Boysen Paint | The No. 1 Paint was replaced by “Boyset | The No. 1 Pain.”
The original images were taken on May 4, 2021, when the vice president visited the Angat Buhay Village in Lupi, where she observed Boysen Philippines’ hands-on painting training for their partner-beneficiaries.
The said village, which is being constructed as part of our BAHAYanihan project, is the result of a partnership between the Office of the Vice President (OVP), Lupi LGU, University of Nueva Caceres, Boysen Philippines, and their partner-beneficiaries, who came together to construct the AB Village.
