Actress Ruffa Gutierrez has this recent revelation that brought inspiration for her daughters Lorin and Venice Gutierrez Bektas.
In a recent episode of the online show, Ruffa shared to hosts Pinky Tobiano, Jaya, and Zephanie that she has something to reveal. The hosts thought that the former beauty queen will be talking about her new love life.
However, Ruffa shared about the newest endeavor she has for self-improvement. Based on the article by entertainment columnist Jun Lalin in Abante, enrolled in the Philippine Women’s University School Of Arts and Sciences for the Bachelor of Arts Major in Communication Arts course.
The actress shared that she was enrolled under the Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program. It is earning a college degree through work experience. Actresses Jodi Sta. Maria and Sunshine Cruz also enrolled in the same program but took different courses.
“After 30 years since graduating high school, I have decided to further my education,” Ruffa Gutierrez said. In 1994, she already enrolled in a computer school but that only lasted several days and she gave up.
She added that if she will study hard, by April 2022, she will be graduating. Ruffa said that she decided to pursue this aspect of her life because she wants to take control of her life’s next chapter.
“I want to set an example for my children,” the actress said. Being a student now, she said that she never imagined that she would be needing a laptop again because she is already used in doing everything on her phone.
She is also happy that her daughters are being inspired by her aim to earn a college degree. “Nakakatuwa dahil nakikita ako ni Lorin at Venice habang nag-aaral, so nai-inspire rin sila sa akin,” Ruffa Gutierrez said.
