Pampanga Priest Homer Policarpio Involved in Having Illicit Affair w/ Married Woman Barred from Celebrating Mass Outside Home
Pampanga Priest Homer Policarpio is now barred from celebrating mass outside his home after having an affair with a married woman.
Previously, the video footage of a furious guy confronting a Roman Catholic priest inside the Church for allegedly having an illicit affair with his wife. The video immediately spread like a wildfire online after it was posted on social media.
The raging husband criticized the priest identified as father Homer Policarpio of San Agustin in San Fernando, Pampanga for his act of immorality. The online community lambasted the religious leader for his inappropriate act.
The netizens said that the priest committed (inflagrante delicto) and he is considered as a shame and scandal in the Roman Catholic Church.
Recently, Pampanga Archbishop Florentino Lavarias decided to remove Homer Policarpio from the parish as the Archdiocese of San Fernando start the investigation regarding the man’s accusations.
Lavarias also prohibits Policarpio from celebrating mass outside his home. “I removed him from the parish and allowed him to celebrate Mass only in his house for his spiritual sustenance,” Lavarias said.
However, it was still unclear if the probe aims to determine the truth regarding the incident or to elaborate the priest’s violation.
