Bacolod City Police Received Cake with a Toppings of Human Ears as Life Threat
A cake with a toppings of human ears was sent to police in Bacolod City including a life threatening message inside from unknown person.
In a report of DYHB, a cake with human ears toppings was sent by an unidentified person to a police officer assigned to a unit of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO). In the picture sent exclusively to DYHB, you can see the two human ears placed as “toppings” on the white cake and decorated in blue.
Inside the box, a torn calendar was attached with the words “Gusto mo gid magsikat. Sige lang kay lapit ka na ma-front page, ma-promote ka pa. Alerto lang kay para indi ka ma-dehado,” (You really want to be famous. It’s okay because you’re close to being on the front page, you’ll be promoted. Just be alert so you don’t get critical.)
The man’s ear was found to be placed in the cake after an inspection by Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO). The police officer was not named by DYHB on purpose.
In an interview, BCPO Director Police Colonel Manuel Placido said that he did not have direct knowledge of the incident but that he would discuss it with the appropriate officers. While it is common for police officers to receive life threats, Placido believes that he would protect his officers, especially when it comes to their job.
It has not been determined who owns the ears, but it should be remembered that in the morning of March 07, a corpse was discovered in the city of Victorias without an ear. Because of the letter found next to the body, the man, who is suspected of being a victim of salvage and in connection with illegal drugs, has yet to be identified.
