Jeepney Passenger Who Forgot Wallet Goes Viral After Asking GCash to Driver
A lady passenger who forgot her wallet when she rides a jeepney goes viral after she asked the driver for GCash account to pay fare.
Nowadays, online and cashless payments are increasingly popular as technology advances. You can now purchase, pay, and transfer money without keeping cash using banking and financial applications on cellphones and other devices.
During the pandemic, some organizations are encouraging the use of money transfer apps to avoid the spread of money, which is one of the virus’s potential sources. Many institutions are already doing so.
Meanwhile, many people were amused by an incident inside the jeep in which a passenger attempted to pay with a well-known money app. In a TikTok video posted by user Mo Ni Ca, you can see a scene in the jeepney where she tells the driver that she will only pay with GCash if possible.

She left her wallet before riding the jeepney, according to the women in the video. Rather than being unable to pay the driver, she stated that she would pay through GCash.
“Kuya, may GCash po ba kayo? Naiwan kop o ‘yung wallet ko,” Mo Ni Ca said in his viral TikTok video.

She inquired in her post if some had experienced the same scenario. The driver’s agreement to pass the payment to GCash was not included in the post. Meanwhile, some netizens express various reactions towards the video.
Some people said they would only pay the fare if they were with the woman in the video. Also as a result of the video, the idea of making cashless payment apps like GCash a real mode of payment for all jeeps was born, so that no one can afford to pay and exchange, particularly now that social distancing is so significant.
