Kaye Abad recalls fond memories with Paolo Contis
Actress Kaye Abad admitted that she liked Kapuso star Paolo Contis but there was a funny story that involved them and their former Tabing Ilog co-stars.
Kaye and Paolo were among the cast members in the defunct Kapamilya youth-oriented show. The show aired from 1999 to 2003. Within that period of time, the stars were able to develop a certain bond that resulted to years of their friendship.
In a recent episode of Paolo’s digital talk show Just In, he guested Kaye who recalled the memories they shared during their Tabing Ilog days. She admitted that she liked Paolo before but the actor liked someone else, based on the article in Bandera.
“Ang gusto ko talaga ikaw. Si Carol (Banawa) ang gusto si Toffee (Kristopher Peralta). Kaso ang nagkataon, wala kaming magawa. Ang gusto ni Toffee ako, ang gusto mo si Carol. Sabi ko, ‘Nge! Ano ba yan?!” Kaye Abad said and laughed.
She also revealed that though there were already friends back then, she liked Paolo, as well. “Pero ayaw sa akin ng nanay mo, ‘di ba? Ayaw sa akin ng nanay mo kasi mas matanda raw ako sa ‘yo,” she further revealed.
At that time, Kaye recalled that Paolo was already in a relationship with Desiree del Valle, also their co-star in the youth-oriented show.
Kaye shared that since Desiree was “selosa”, there was a time when she asked for pastillas from her, the latter told her to ask permission first from Paolo.
“Kasi siyempre alam mo naman ang kabataan, may mga ganu’n kang… gustung-gusto mo, magseselos ka,” Paolo Contis commented on what Kaye Abad said. The actress admitted that she was also “selosa”, especially when they were younger.
