1-Year-Old Child Dies of Repeated Spanking with Wood by Young Mother
A one-year-old child dies after repeatedly receiving a spanking from an 18-year-old mother in Barangay Upper Bicutan in Taguig.
After reportedly being hit with a stick by his young mother, a boy died as he received bruises and wounds. The grandmother of the victim said that she had no idea why her daughter can do a heartless act.
“Hindi ko alam sa kaniya kasi hindi naman nagasasalita ‘yung anak ko sa akin. Bigla na lang po ako nagulat may mga tumawag na pong taga center na sabi nga po wala na daw po ‘yung apo ko,” said the young victim’s grandmother and the suspect’s mother.

While the child’s body has yet to be autopsied, the investigation discovered at least ten bruises and wounds on different parts of the victim’s body. According to the authorities’ report, the woman was irritated by her child’s weeping.
It wasn’t the mother’s first time hurting her child, based on the report of GMA News. When it came to her second child, the grandmother said she was really irritated because he allegedly abandoned by its father.
The young lady is now a mother of three. Her boredom stems from the fact that she is unemployed, which makes the suspect became irritated by her child’s cries, according to Taguig Chief of Police, Police Colonel Celso Rodriguez.
The mother has already been arrested and charged with a corresponding case by the Taguig Police Department. The perpetrator has yet to make an official announcement about the crime.
