Vice Ganda does not want to experience poverty again
Comedian-host Vice Ganda recalled the time when he was experiencing poverty and he said that he does not want to repeat that part of his life.
Vice is among the many celebrities in the Philippines who can showcase their “from rags to riches” stories. He is one of those who had humble beginnings and had a lot of struggles before having the success that they have now.
Based on the article in Bandera, in an interview for his endorsement, Vice said that he is thankful for the success of his YouTube channel. He admitted that he got worried when the franchise of ABS-CBN was denied and he had to find another platform.
“So, since walang TV anong paraan? So the only way na patok nung panahon na yun is yung mga online shows. So, kailangan mo siyang pasukin so pinasok ko yung YouTube. Tapos nu’ng lumalaki yung following nakakatuwa kasi nga dun ko na-ri-realize na ay marami pa ring may interes sa akin,” the comedian-host said.
Aside from reaching out to the people and serving his purpose which is entertaining his audience through his YouTube channel, Vice Ganda admitted that the number of subscribers that he has also made him happy. It means that the more subscribers that he has, the more income it will bring to him.
“Ayoko nang bumalik sa paghihirap. Hello! Nanggaling na ako du’n. At nagbabad na ako du’n nang bongga. So ngayon nasa ganito akong posisyon, hindi ko puwedeng pabayaan yung kung anong meron ako, kailangan ko pangalagaan yung estado ng buhay ko. Kailangan ko pa rin kumita,” he said as he is not being hypocrite about the financial aspect of his vlogs.
With this, Vice Ganda expressed gratitude to all his subscribers for letting him continue making them laugh and entertain them amid this trying time. At the same time, this also gives him extra income. For him, it is what most people call – the give and take setup.
