Pres. Duterte Gives Message for Critics
DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gave a message to those who are criticizing him during a national address.
In every term in the political arena, there are supporters of the president and as well as critics. It is true no matter how many supporters a president has.
Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte has his own critics despite winning a landslide victory in the 2016 presidential election. There are those who are against the actions taken as part of the anti-drugs campaign of his administration.
Also, there are critics of the President’s response on the flood incidents in the Philippines, the COVID-19 pandemic, the country’s territorial dispute against China, and a lot more. On another side, there are people who defend and continuously support the Chief Executive.

Recently, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte missed the public age for around two (2) weeks. There was a time when he skipped his national address after several members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) tested positive for COVID-19. He also skipped the Day of Valor rites.
Amid the absence of the President from the public’s eye, there were questions about the whereabouts of the Chief Executive and as well as his health. To this, he reacted saying that he really does it intentionally when he is triggered.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the President also stressed that his hometown is Davao City and he can fly home whenever he wants to as he is using the money of the people for his trips. He also denied the allegations that he is sick citing he can even swing a golf and drive a motorcycle.
“If you want me to die early, you must pray harder. Actually, what you intend or what you would like to happen is to see me go. You want me to go and you’re praying for that,” Pres. Duterte said for his critics.
The President expressed that he’s doing his hobbies at night and not during daytime. He was also spotted jogging during the time of his absence from the public’s eye.
