Woman Intentionally Coughing On Cancer Patient Gets Arrested

WOMAN COUGHING ON CANCER PATIENT – A woman from Florida who intentionally coughed on a cancer patient got arrested and sentenced to 30-days in jail.

Last year, the woman went viral after coughing on a customer at a Pier 1 store. Recently, the woman identified as Debra Hunter was required to pay a $500 fine and had to serve six months probation.

Additionally, she was also mandated to join a mental health evaluation and anger management program. According to Hunter, her family paid the price for her mistakes. Furthermore, she said that her kids lost friends and they don’t go out to their community anymore.

I watch as my kids lower their heads and turn in the opposite direction, so they won’t be recognized or approached. And I know exactly what they’re feeling because I do the same thing.

However, Duval County Court Judge James Ruth said she was in awe after Hunter’s testimony focused more on how her actions affected herself and her family. Instead of focusing on how she harmed the victim, she changed the narrative in an attempt to get sympathy.

“Her children didn’t create this problem and her husband didn’t, and she talked about how it changed her world and she was getting nastygrams on Facebook and things of that nature and they can’t go to their country club or wherever.”

Meanwhile, Heather Sprague, the victim who was fighting a brain tumor told the judge she was anxious looking for a place where she and her family could get tested for COVID-19. Luckily, when she took the test, she and her family tested negative.
