Mexican Men Disguise Themselves As Elderly To Trick Hospitals To Give Them Vaccine
MEN DISGUISE THEMSELVES AS ELDERLY – Two Mexican men managed to get themselves a vaccines for COVID-19 by using disguising as elderly.
Currently, the priority for COVID-19 vaccinations is healthcare workers, followed by those more vulnerable to the virus such as the elderly. This leaves the rest of the population in wait. However, two men decided to bypass the system.
According to a report from GMA News, the two men in their 30s, dressed up as the elderly wearing masks and plastic face shields. Then, they presented fake identity documents and managed to get themselves vaccinated.
However, their plan fell short when they had to talk to a health worker at the center following the vaccination. Unfortunately for them, the workers they talked to realized that it wasn’t the voice of an old man.
Immediately, the worker called the authorities in Mexico City. When the cops arrived, they stated that the identities given were false and the imposters were charged with identity theft.
Mexico, a country of 126 million, has a death toll of 205,000. As such, this makes gives the country the third highest deaths due to COVID-19 worldwide. Still, hope remains as it has rolled out almost 10 million COVID-19 vaccines for medical workers and the elderly.
But, there were some instances were the vaccines wherein some nurses were captured on film faking vaccinations. Luckily, the nurses were quickly dismissed and the elderly were given proper vaccinations against COVID-19.
