Why Sara Duterte suddenly went to Singapore?
Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte flew to Singapore on April 6 with one of her children and she has done this quietly amid the enhanced community quarantine being implemented in Metro Manila.
On Tuesday afternoon, the presidential daughter was seen at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 3 in Pasay City. She flew from Davao City at around 9 a.m. and arrived at the international airport’s Terminal 2 via Philippine Airlines.
Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, an airport source shared this information. The Davao City Mayor had boarded a Singapore-bound Singapore Airlines flight (SQ-917) from boarding gate no.115 by 2:15 p.m.
She was seen with one of her three children. “Mayor Sara carried a child with her and was followed by her assistant and one PSG (Presidential Security Group) bodyguard,” the source said. However, it was not revealed who the specific child she carried with her.
MB contacted the information officer of the presidential daughter to know the reason for her sudden out of the country trip. However, the officer has no idea that the lady mayor flew to Singapore.
Even though the flight of Mayor Sara Duterte happened amid ECQ in Metro Manila, it was stated previously by the aviation authorities that Filipino citizens are not restricted to have outbound travel.
Reportedly, the daughter of President Rodrigo Duterte took a seven-day medical leave last year from September 28 to October 5. At that time, she also left Davao City.
Meanwhile, Sara Duterte’s name is one of the popular politicians who is currently being pitched to be the next President. She topped several presidential preference surveys that were held for the 2022 elections.
