Former President Joseph Estrada has tested positive for COVID-19 and his son Jinggoy Estrada posted this recent medical bulletin.

As the fatal virus continue to spread, people from different walks of like got infected. Before the month of March ended, the children of the ex-president have announced on social media that their father was hospitalized.

The 83-year-old political personality had to stay at the emergency room at first because the rooms were full. JV Ejercito shared this in a report.

A few days after that, death hoax surfaced. Fake news circulated that the former president has died. Jinggoy Estrada was quick to answer the misinformation. Reportedly, Joseph Estrada was sedated and was moved to the intensive care unit.

In a recent Facebook Post of Jinggoy, he shared the latest condition of his father. He said that the former president has “suffered a setback as his pneumonia worsened.” This required more amount of oxygen and because of this, he was placed on mechanical ventilation by his doctor.

“This was done to improve oxygen delivery as well as to prevent the tiring of his respiratory mechanism. My father has always been a fighter and I hope that with the help of your prayers he will win this battle. Pls continue praying for his immediate recovery. Thank you very much,” the former Senator said.

Several netizens expressed that they are praying for the fast recovery of Joseph Estrada who served as the Presidet of the Philippines from 1998 to 2001. However, he was impeached due to corruption allegations.
