Cassy Legaspi shared how it is being in showbiz with popular parents
Kapuso actress Cassy Legaspi admitted that she feels the pressure being the daughter of Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi.
Cassy happens to have popular parents in the Philippine entertainment industry who have done successful movie and TV projects and continue to do so.
These past years, Cassy, with her twin brother Mavy, have started their own career in the entertainment industry aside from the TV ads that they do as a family.
Now, Cassy is part of the Kapuso series First Yaya. It is her first time to do a series and in lock-in taping. Based on the article in The Philippine Star, Cassy Legaspi’s role as Nina in a series featuring the tandem of Gabby Concepcion and Sanya Lopez, is far different from how she treats her real-life yaya.
This is the reason why initially it was difficult for her to portray the role. Doing a teleserye for the first time indeed brought newbie jitters to Cassy Legaspi. It is because she got used to doing commercial, singing and dancing stints for All Out Sundays.
“I guess people would expect na sanay na ako sa showbiz because literally my entire life, I am in showbiz,” the young actress said. However, she admitted that she was nervous on their first shooting day.
On the other hand, she is thankful that Direk LA Madriodejos helped her to be comfortable on the set. “He helped me calm down kasi sobrang high blood ako, na-stress ako kasi both of my parents are actors. So, the expectation is very high for me,” she said.
Although Carmina admitted in a part interview that she was quite apprehensive to let her daughter be in a lock-in taping but she saw how happy her daughter was while doing what she wanted to do.
Cassy Legaspi said that her parent know that she really wants to pursue acting and she knows that they are happy for her.
