Miss Grand International: Samantha Bernardo Ranks 3rd At MGI Swimsuit Top 20

PH’s Samantha Bernardo Topped Swimsuit Round of Miss Grand International 2020

MISS GRAND INTERNATIONAL – Philippines’ Samantha Bernardo topped the swimsuit round of the Miss Grand International 2020.

After all the delays due to the pandemic, Miss Grand International 2020 will be held in Bangkok, Thailand. The coronation night will be held on March 27, 2021.

MGI is the first major international pageant to be held in 2021. The organizers of the pageant chose Thailand because it has fewer COVID-19 cases.

The organizers of the Miss Grand International 2020 released the top 20 in the swimsuit competition on its official Facebook page. Philippines’ bet Samantha Bernardo sent pageant fans abuzz after her show-stopping performance in the said competition.

The beauty queen showed off her signature “GRANDnada Walk” in the swimsuit competition. Samantha eventually made it to the top 20 after getting one of the highest online votes.

“Congratulations to The top 20 finalists. Stay tuned for the upcoming voting rules announcement from 20 finalists to 10 finalists,” MGI organization wrote.

Miss Grand International 2020’s list was composed of 10 candidates with the highest number of online votes while the remaining 10 was selected by the judges. Samantha Bernardo ranked 3rd after reps from Cambodia and Indonesia.

From top 20, 10 candidates will make it to the next round. 5 MGI candidates will come from online voting while the remaining 5 will be picked by the judges. The voting will run until March 24.
