Kapuso actress Aiko Melendez donates her earnings from her YouTube channel with almost half a million subscribers already.
Aiko, aside from being busy with her current teleserye Prima Donnas, is also doing vlogs for her own YT channel. Based on the article in Bandera, the actress is happy that their series will have its Book 2. Moreover, Aiko is set to have a new project with Miguel Tanfelix at Kyline Alcantara.
In an interview, she said that her family will not have a vacation this Holy Week because of the COVID-19 situation in the Philippines.
“Dito kami sa house lang mag-Holy Week kasi nga pataas nang pataas ang COVID cases so, since ate me trauma na kami dahil sa nangyari sa Dad (Dan Castañeda) ko stay home completely kami,” she shared.
Amid the pandemic, the actress is more worried about her mom’s condition, especially that the number of cases every day keeps on rising. While at home, Aiko intends to continue doing content for her vlogs.
Based on the article, she is using the money she earns from her YouTube channel to donate to the less fortunate. The actress does not want to elaborate the details of her charitable endeavors.
Meanwhile, previously, Aiko Melendez was able to rekindle her friendship with fellow actress Maricar de Mesa. They had the chance to do a project together for Marian Rivera’s show Tadhana. Both Aiko and Maricar expressed happiness through their social media posts that they were able to reconnect through the Kapuso show.
