Young Boy Walks Using 2 Hands Due to Disability
A young boy from Davao Oriental has been forced to walk using his two hands after his family did not teach him how to walk.
A 10-year-old boy identified as Ralph has been raised in a poor family. He usually eats sugar for breakfast due to extreme poverty. He is also helping his mom at the cornfield.
Ralph’s family did not teach him to walk but learned on his own at the age of three. Aside from his disability to walk, he had just three fingers in his right hand. He also feels envy with other kids who can run, walk and freely move.
“Mas mabilis akong nakakapaglakad kapag nakabaligtad, Nainggit ako sa mga bata kasi marunong tumakbo, marunong maglakad,” Ralph said.
The PWD kid stopped going to school because of his classmate who kept teasing him. He could do nothing but to watch other kids play. His mother Alma also failed to take him to the doctor for having no money.

An orthopedic surgeon said that Ralph has flexion contracture in the knee, a condition wherein he could not fully extend his knees. The health experts revealed that the disabled boy could walk after undergoing an operation.
The Local Government Unit gave Ralph a scholarship to reach his dreams of becoming a lawyer. The young kid also promised Atty. Jessica Siquijor-Magbanua that he will do his best to reach his dreams.
