According to a report from ABS-CBN News, oil firms Shell, Petro Gazz at Cleanfuel have announce in their separate advisories that there will be a decrease of P0.35 for the price of diesel.

Shell also said that there will be a rollback of P0.45 for the price of kerosene. Only the price of gasoline was left unchanged.

Oil industries said that the reason for the price rollback is due to the delay of COVID-19 AstraZeneca vaccinations and travel restrictions in some countries in Europe based on the report.

Last week, there was an increase of pump prices on the said products. The changes were the following:

  • P1.25 per liter for the price of gasoline
  • P0.90 per liter for the price of diesel
  • P0.85 per liter for the price of kerosene

Weeks earlier, Labor group Defend Jobs Philippines earlier staged a protest last week regarding the continuous increase of pump prices, which it claimed would increase travel costs.
