Police Arrested a High-Value Suspect in Quezon City Over P500k Illegal Drugs

Quezon City police arrested an alleged high-value suspect and seized over P500k worth of illegal drugs called “shabu” or crystal meth.

A man considered a high-value individual (HVI) was arrested by the authorities after illegal drugs were confiscated in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Talipapa, Quezon City, this Saturday night.

High-Value Suspect

Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director, P/BGen. Danilo Macerin identified the suspect as Marvin Sigua, 45. He is a resident of 8D, 2B, Don Segundo St., San Agustin Village, Brgy. Market.

According to the report, around 9:40 pm on March 20, personnel from the Station Drug Enforcement Units (SDEUs) of Galas Police Station (PS-11) and Talipapa Police Station (PS-3) arrested the suspect in a joint buy-bust operation in his home.

Earlier, PS-11 received a tip from a confidential informant regarding the suspect’s illegal activity which prompted the operation to be launched. An undercover cop acted as a poseur buyer to set a transaction with him.

After he bought P12,000 worth of illegal drugs from the suspect, he was immediately arrested. Aside from the buy-bust money and 75 grams of shabu worth P510,000, a black pouch was also confiscated.

The suspect and confiscated drug paraphernalia are under police custody. The suspect will be charged with violating Republic Act 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
