3 Barangay Officials Making Fake IDs, Birth Certificates to Claim SAP Aid Arrested
Police arrested three (3) barangay officials after caught producing fake IDs and birth certificates to claim Social Amelioration Program (SAP) aid.
On Facebook, the executive assistant of the Antipolo City Mayor shared another new case of forgery and fraud to get Social Amelioration Program (SAP) financial assistance from the government was discovered.
According to Jun Andeng Ynares, who posted it, the three staff members allegedly admitted to forgery crime for claiming help that would have been for our countrymen who are also in need during this pandemic.

The suspects were identified as Crystal Tutanes, Charles John Lozada, and Gian Paulo Gabriel, the three staff of barangay Cupang. Aside from the barangay officials, another accomplice who made fake IDs and Birth Certificates to claim the aid was also arrested.
Aside from the termination of service in the barangay, the three employees and an accomplice are now incarcerated. They are also facing charges similar to the previous ones who present faked documents and pretended to be from another barangay.
Under the social amelioration program of the DSWD, assistance will be given to low-income households, including senior citizens, persons with a disability, single parents, overseas Filipinos in distress, and pregnant mothers, who were affected by the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.
