Maine Mendoza shared the details of the birthday surprise she got from Arjo Atayde
Phenomenal Star Maine Mendoza said that her boyfriend award-winning actor Arjo Atayde has mastered the art of surprises as she got the best birthday surprise from him.
Arjo and Maine have been together for more than two years now. Last March 3, the Eat Bulaga host celebrated her 26th birthday and her boyfriend prepared a birthday surprise that she never expected.
Amid the pandemic, Maine said that was not aiming for a birthday party just like in previous years before the COVID-19 situation took place. In her blog, based on the article in Manila Bulletin, she wanted and it is expected that she will just a small birthday celebration.
“Given the situation we are in, throwing a party is just so wrong on many levels. That would be the last thing I’d do for my birthday, next to not celebrating at all,” Maine Mendoza said.
However, knowing her boyfriend, a small celebration is not an option. “Not that I ALWAYS assume that he’s ALWAYS planning something.. but knowing him, he has his ways to make any special occasion EXTRA special,” the Phenomenal Star shared.
Maine said that she had no idea that Arjo was already organizing the birthday surprise for her. “Like he has mastered the art of surprises.. and I am not surprised at all,” she said.
The actress-host said that that she was happy and surprised by what her boyfriend has prepared for her. She can’t believe that her loved ones were able to go to Batangas to spend the special day with her.
“I was sooo happy. Thank you Arjo for, once again, getting my family and friends together – and for, once again, pulling off a successful birthday surprise,” Maine said. She also shared that they spent the whole afternoon taking photos and enjoying the moment and when the night came, they had a lovely dinner.
Maine Mendoza appreciated the moment that she was able to spend quality time with the people she loves, as well as the friendship they share with each other.
“For the last time in this entry, thank you Arjo for the birthday surprise. I love how you always include my family and friends in your birthday paandars. You don’t know how much it means to me to be with the people I love on my special day; as well as to my family and friends for being part of your surprises. Indeed, no material gift can top the presence of your loved ones. Thank you bubba – for everything,” she said to her boyfriend.
