Petroleum Products Price Hike To Take Effect On March 16, 2021

PETROLEUM PRODUCTS – Several oil firms have recently announced a price increase on petroleum products starting Tuesday, March 16, 2021.

This followed after a rollback on prices of said products last week’s Tuesday, March 6, 2021.

According to a report from ABS-CBN News, oil firms Shell, Seaoil, Cleanfuel, and Petro Gazz have announced in separate advisories that there will be an increase of prices on the following products.

  • P1.25 per liter for the price of gasoline
  • P0.90 per liter for the price of diesel

Shell and Seaoil also announced that there will also be an increase of P0.85 per liter for the price of kerosene.

Based on the report, the oil industries announced that the price hike will take effect at 6 AM on Tuesday, March 16; while Cleanfuel said that it will implement the same changes at 4:01 PM on the same day.

Last week, oil firms Shell, Seaoil, Petro Gazz at Cleanfuel have announced a reduction of price of gasoline by P0.10 per liter, and P0.35 per liter decrease for the price of diesel.

A week earlier, Labor group Defend Jobs Philippines earlier staged a protest last week regarding the continuous increase of pump prices, which iy claimed would increase travel costs.
