10 Derby Players in Pasay City Arrested for Illegal Online Sabong Through Phone
DERBY PLAYERS – Authorities arrested 10 men in Pasay City after caught playing illegal online sabong (cockfight) through mobile phone.
Flagrant suspects were arrested by the elements of the Station Intelligence Section led by PMaj. Remedios Terte, OIC-SIS, under the supervision of PCol. Cesar Paday-os, Acting Chief of Police Pasay City Police Station after caught in the act of betting each other known as online sabong through cellular phone.
The arrest happens after operatives were dispatched at a gasoline station along Aurora Blvd., Brgy. 147 Zone 16, Pasay City, to conduct validation with regards to reported illegal gambling activities.

Recovered from the suspects were betting money amounting to Php1,000.00 in different denominations and one (1) unit of the cellular phone. Suspects were brought to Pasay City General Hospital for physical examination.
Suspects were identified as drivers, Manuel Bustrillo y Avilla alias Manuel, 55; Ireneo Ducoy Jr. y Istoconing alias Ducoy, 40; Roberto Quebec y Malto alias Bebeng, 33; Christopher Elmido y Devera alias Chris, 43, Jaime Fornaliza y Valenzuela, 56; Rogel Marcinares y Avanceña alias Bunso, 37; and Zosimo Bolima Jr. y Vasquez, 54; Merlito Sebastian y Espina alias Mer, 43,
Aside from them, there were also jobless. Jobless arrested were identified as Wawo Varona y Lausin alias Arnolfo, 18; Evan Garcia y Escala alias Evan, 39, together with evidence recovered from the raid were brought to the SIS office for documentation and later turned-over to IDMS- Pasay CPS.
