P800K Worth Of Drugs Hidden In Chicken Meat Seized In Davao City Jail
DAVAO CITY – Suspected illegal drugs worth P800,000 hidden in chicken meat were seized at the Davao City Jail-Male Dormitory (DCJ-MD).
This came from the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology Region 11, according to a report from the Manila Bulletin.
The BJMP 11 added that the contraband in the food was brought by a certain visitor at the the jail’s searching area Gate 1.
“Upon inspection, searcher noticed that the chicken meat were half cooked and is unusual size. After close inspection, a small plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance was found,”
The BJMP said that they also seized a packet of suspected Maryjane with a street value of P200 from the visitor.
The suspect, whose identification cards show different names, is under the custody of the Talomo Police in the city while the illegal drugs were turned over to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) for further testing, based on the report.
In a separate drug report, around P680K worth of suspected illegal drugs were seized from three suspects in a buy bust in Recto Avenue, Manila.

The cops conducted a buy bust operation on the three suspects who had the said drugs.
Retrieved from the three suspects were 13 sachets of suspected illegal drugs, which are worth at about P680,000.
