People Recycling Vaccine Bottles to Produce Fake COVID-19 Vax Will Be Arrested

The Department of Health (DOH) warned the public against people recycling empty vaccine bottles to produce fake COVID-19 vaccines.

Health Usec Maria Rosario Vergeire ensured the public that there is proper disposal for vials or syringes used in the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in the country. Vergeire explained that the purpose of disposing of considered bio-hazard wastes is not to harm public health.

Vergeire told the virtual media forum that the government has allocated partners with the Department of Environment and Natural Resource, the Department of Interior and Local Government, and Local Government Units for the proper disposal of such vaccination equipment.

To ensure that the vials used for disposal are tally, they are also counted after the vaccination, based on the report. It will be placed in a container or container for proper disposal in a separate landfill.

Meanwhile, around 2,793 individuals have already received the vaccine shots from China since the first day of vaccination. Around 11 health facilities and institutions have administered the vaccine during the second day of inoculation.
