Over P4 Million Worth Of Illegal Drugs Seized In Marikina City

MARIKINA CITY – More than P4 million worth of illegal drugs were seized by authorities in a buy bust operation in Marikina City.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Eastern Office said that it conducted the sting operation inside a mall against three suspects, who brought the said contraband wrapped in a tea bag, according to a report from ABS-CBN News.

Police arrested the three suspects, who were identified as two males, 25 and 43 years old, and a female, 58 years of age. Retrieved from them were 600 grams of illegal drugs which are worth at around P4,080,000.

PDEA reported that the arrested were from Laguna and Baguio City who travelled to the capital to sell illegal drugs.

The police conducted further investigation to determine the source or supplier of the said drugs, as well as their cohorts.

Based on the report, the suspects will be charged for selling illeal drugs without bail.

In a separate drug report, the cops seized illegal drugs inserted inside the packaging of instant noodles in Zamboanga.

In a buy bust operation there, one man was arrested after he was caught selling 300,000 worth of suspected illegal drugs in the city. The suspect sealed the said drugs inside packages of instant noodles and attempted to sell them at the city port.
