Nicole Scherzinger expressed admiration for this singer in the Philippines
Pussycat Dolls lead singer Nicole Scherzinger, who has Filipino blood, admitted that she is a fan of this Pinay singer.
Nicole has been expressing that she is proud of her Filipino roots. Her success in the international music scene also brings pride to Pinoys all over the world.
Previously, she shared on her social media account that she recorded a Filipino song and it is the first time she did this. It was the song ‘Pangako’ which is composed by OPM icon Ogie Alcasid.
The singer-songwriter shared this post from the female singer with gratefulness that his song was sang by her.
In a recent interview, Kapamilya entertainment reporter MJ Felipe shared the Nicole Scherzinger talked about the recording of the said Pinoy song for Troy Laureta’s album ‘Kaibigan’.
She said that she’s “honored and proud to be part of this album, thank you Troy. Music is so powerful and with what’s happening to the world may this bring healing. Mahal ko kayo, salamat.”
Nicole said that she immediately said “yes” to this project. She also revealed that she is a fan of Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez, the wife of Ogie Alcasid who sang also ‘Pangako’.
The Pussycat Dolls lead singer said that she impressed with Regine’s vocals. She also shared that her favorite line in the song is ‘Pangako, hindi kita iiwan’.
Nicole Scherzinger also revealed that she and her group were supposed to visit the Philippines last year for their Manila concert. However, it was postponed due to the pandemic.
“As soon as the world opens up & it is safe again, I cannot wait to go put on the best show, I cannot wait to sing Pangako w/ Troy,” the singer said to her Filipino fans.
