“Pinursige ako,” says Angelica Panganiban about her current boyfriend, Gregg Homan. His persistence to get into her life and her heart have melted down the high walls she guarded around her heart following several heartbreaks that she’s been through.
What happened between them accordingly took place slowly and without any pressure. She shared based on a previous article, “Wala naman kasing naging pressure. Yun ang naging difference. Parang kalmado lang dumating yung lahat. Hindi binigla, hindi pinilit. Parang nangyari na lang siya.”
She wanted to keep things about their relationship private and low-key but on New Year, she opted to finally confirm and reveal it. What pushed her to do it despite wanting privacy? As per her, she wanted to tell the people who have been with her that she’s happy again.
And she also understands that her celebrity status will make it hard for to keep it. The actress added, “Sa simpleng bagay na ganun, kahit papaano nai-share ko, naipakita ko sa tao na, ‘Huy, si Bakla, masaya na.'”
When it comes to her career as an actress, she is thankful that her boyfriend is supportive of it. She already considers her job as “non-negotiable” and her “first love” as this is what she has been doing ever since.
She also wouldn’t stand it if she gets controlled in a relationship taking away her freedom to do things and stopping the growth. And if her partner won’t understand her job, she quipped, “Siguro yun. Kapag pinatigil ako mag-artista, bahala ka.”
