Former Kagawad Nabbed In Pampanga Over Illegal Drugs, Firearm

PAMPANGA – A former village officer was recently arrested in the municipality of Porac, Pampanga due to illegal drugs and illegal firearm.

The suspect was identified as Jayson Garcia, who is currently working as a jeepney driver in the said municipality or Porac.

The arrest of the suspect was based on a search warrant for violation of Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.

Retrieved from Garcia were a caliber .38 revolver and ammunition, as well as one packet of suspected illegal drugs which weighs about 3 grams and a value worth at about P20,400; and drug paraphernalia.

As mentioned above, Garcai was a former kagawad in their village.

Garcia will face charges for illegal possession of firearms, as well as violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.

In a separate drug report, the police officers in Cabanatuan City have recently recovered about P340,000 worth of illegal drugs in a drug sting there.

At the same time, a 43-year-old man was arrested in a sting operation in Champaca 1, Barangay Dicarma, Cabanatuan City.

Retrieved from the suspect were a dozen sachets of suspected illegal drugs which weighs at about 50 grams and has an estimated street value worth P340,000.
