Netizens slam Mon Tulfo online for having vaccinated a smuggled COVID-19 vaccine.
MON TULFO – Philippines special envoy to China Ramon Tulfo admitted to receiving a smuggled COVID-19 vaccine along with other officials.
With the officials names withheld, President Rodrigo Duterte’s special envoy to China Ramon Tulfo revealed that he and other officials already received a smuggled COVID-19 vaccine last year. The vaccine they received is the Sinopharm manufactured by a Chinese government-owned pharmaceutical company.
“I now confess to the public: I had myself vaccinated — along with some government officials whose names I won’t mention here — with the Sinopharm vaccine last October. Some members of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) were also injected with the same vaccine,” Tulfo said. He even furthered that he “risked his life” for he applied to be a local distributor.
He also revealed in his column for the Manila Times that the president was also encouraged to have it ahead of the public but opted not to so as to avoid controversy. Despite having the vaccination, he revealed that his family never had it and even told them that if he died due to its side effects, they’d have to tell the public about it.
The fact that he had the vaccine ahead of the health workers who are on top of the list of priorities of thegovernment didn’t suit well to the public. Tulfo got lambasted onlin because of this and many netizens expressed their distateful view about it.

The delays in vaccine rollout in the country are inexcusable, but even more offending to the Filipino people are the double standards of this administration.
Soon, more politicians, businessmen, & even the Chinese will be prioritized ahead of Filipinos.
