“Bumaha Ng Tarpaulin, Hindi Vaccine” – Isko Jokes Amid Influx Of Tarps
“BUMAHA NG TARPAULIN” – Recently, an influx of tarpaulins sprouted like mushrooms in several areas across the Philippines.
However, the most visible of these tarpaulins was the “Run Sara Run” tarpaulins. According to an article from Manila Bulletin, Mayor Isko Moreno said:
May joke nga dito sa Maynila, nakakatawa nga ‘yung mga joke dito kasi ang dami mga tarpaulin, bumaha ng tarpaulin, hindi vaccine
But, Moreno did not specify which tarpaulin he was referring too. Still, some of these tarpaulins were seen in Manila, particularly along España Boulevard.
Meanwhile, Sara Duterte-Carpio denied being involved in setting up the tarpaulins. Furthermore, she also emphasized that she doesn’t want to run for presidency.
Recently, President Duterte stressed that “Inday Sara will not run”. During his address on the government’s response to tropical storm Auring, he said that he doesn’t want her daughter to run in 2022. “I have to put my foot down”, Duterte said.
Currently, the city of Manila is ready to deploy vaccines to the people. As per the article, Moreno added:
DOH data said we are 89 percent ready based on their assessment. Nakuha ko lang ‘yung assessment, ang Manila ang number one sa readiness. We are ready to deploy.
