Julia Montes shared this memorable thing she did from her first earnings
Actress Julia Montes reveals what she did after she earned from her stint on Mara Clara, her hit TV series with Kathryn Bernardo.
In a recent vlog of Dimples Romana, she and Julia talked about various topics in their lives and showbiz careers. Both of them shared their experiences as breadwinners.
Julia said that her grandmother Lola Flory who raised her has always been open about their financial status. “Sinasabi niya sa akin na, ‘Huy, kung hindi natin ito ginawa, wala tayo pang ganito. Pambayad natin ito sa ganito, so kailangan gawin mo ito,'” she shared.
The actress also shared that even before her talent fee landed on her hand, they already intended it for something they need.
“So, nakalakihan ko rin siya na every time na may papasok na pera, saan siya nakalaan? Hindi siya iyong basta-basta may gusto lang ako bilhin, bibilhin ko because sumuweldo naman ako, e,” the actress said.
Julia Montes also shared that when she was earning extra already, her first “luho” for herself was perfume. When she and Kathryn were having their tour for Mara Clara, Julia shared that she really bought several bottles of perfume.
“Iyon iyong una kong hinorde. Ilang pabango. Tatlo, apat na pabango para sa sarili ko? ‘Tapos iba na sa nanay ko, sa lola ko.” She shared.
Julia said that it was her reward for herself. She recalled that she had a bottle of cologne when she was young and she had to use just a small amount of it every day so that it will last for a long time.
At that time, a small bottle of the said cologne was worth P20. “Feeling ko kasi iyon iyong pinaka-kaya ko lang bilhin noon,” Julia Montes shared.
