‘Book Stop’ Resumes Operations In Intramuros, Manila
BOOK STOP – Book Stop, the famous pop-up library has resumed its operations in Intramuros, Manila on Wednesday, February 17.
“Starting 17 February 2021, Book Stop Intramuros is back in business. Free access, free reading, and free book exchanges. Give a book, get a book,”
This came from the library’s Facebook post on February 16 (Tuesday), according to a report from Manila Bulletin.
Visitors who wish to read or exchange books in the library, were advised to follow basic health protocols upon entering the library, among them include wearing of face masks, and physical distancing of at least one meter.
“Observe proper hygiene. Do not touch your eyes, nose, and mouth. Practice respiratory etiquette at all times,”
It added that those who fail to comply with the health and safety protocols will not be allowed to enter.

The pop-up library in Intramuros is among the Book Stop Project that was initiated by WTA Architecture and Design Studios in 2016.
The project aims to determine “the role that libraries play in contemporary urban societies and the shape that they may take as society develops and grows.”
Based on the report, the library in Intramuros is located at Plaza Roma, Intramuros, Manila, across the Manila Cathedral.
